  7. Note: A quick upgrade summary is provided for those upgrading from version
  8.       1 to version 2 in Upgrade.200.

  10. Here's a list of the major enhancements in version 2:
  11.  
  12.  ■  Another registration bonus program, PRO-STATS, generates a professional
  13.     and sharp looking statistics report.  The 2 page report  includes  area
  14.     usage,  spectrum and bar graphs, totals, best & worst categories, and a
  15.     special comic releaf section.  See ProStats.Ans for a demo.

  17.  ■  FileDoor  is  now  supported.   In version 1, if you used FileDoor, the
  18.     download count  and uploaders would not be picked up at all.   This has
  19.     been fixed.  Refer to the FileDoor Support section of the docs.
  20.  
  21.  ■  Although only 36 areas were  planned  for  addition  in  version  2,  a
  22.     whopping  100  areas are now supported upon registration.  In addition,
  23.     the  amount  of  areas  allowed  in  the un-registered version has been
  24.     boosted  from  13  to  30  to give un-registered SysOps (shame shame) a
  25.     chance to test it more fully.

  27.  ■  A new function altogether, ALT-B, has been added.   This will allow you
  28.     to  convert  your  "old  style  bracket  counters"  to  PRO-FILE's  new
  29.     improved and organized style.  Very convenient.

  31.  ■  As promised,  the  PRO-INFO  registration  bonus  door  now  gives  the
  32.     estimated transfer time of files.

  34.  ■  When generating a total listing (Alt-T), certain areas may be  excluded
  35.     using prosecur.ctl.  (Refer to Alt-T in the docs for more information).

  37.  ■  BBS/FILE Logos can now be added to the beginning of every area listing.

  39.  ■  File  Area  Header  information can now be added to every area listing,
  40.     including the best file for the area, and file and size totals.

  56. In  order  to  get  updates  to  the  public  as  soon as possible, not all
  57. enhancements are incorporated into a new version at one time.  Some of  the
  58. major  enhancements  are  left for future versions so as to release updates
  59. quickly.

  64.  - Full "Remote Control" will allow access to PRO-FILE over modem.
  65.  - Due to FileDoor's constantly changing formats, ever effort will be  made
  66.    to ensure PRO-FILE's compatibility with FileDoor.
  67.  - As if the Global by Area (Alt-L) routine didn't have enough,  plans  are
  68.    being made to allow the viewing of zip files.
